See Identities of First Set of Politicians That Have Made Tinubu’s Ministerial List

President Tinubu has finalized the first batch of politicians who will make up his ministerial list.
Top sources in power corridors have revealed the identities of the first set of nominees, which are expected to be sent to the Senate this week.
It is anticipated that additional names will be added to the list in subsequent batches.
As per constitutional requirements, President Tinubu is obligated to appoint a minister from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to assist in governing the country.
In the previous administration, former President Muhammadu Buhari appointed 44 ministers, with certain states receiving two ministerial positions.
The initial set of nominees is said to comprise technocrats chosen with the goal of revitalizing the economy swiftly.
Notably, some serving senators from both the northern and southern regions of Nigeria have made the list.
Among the technocrats reportedly on the list is a former Chief Executive Officer of a commercial bank from the South-West.
This individual, a Fellow of Chartered Accountant (FCA), ventured into partisan politics in 2020 and is rumoured to be a leading candidate for the Ministry of Finance, where their expertise aligns.
Tinubu also provided Buhari with a nominee from Katsina State, extending a courtesy to the former president by accepting his recommendation.
The politicians reportedly on the first batch include:
– Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike
– Former Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola
– Former governor of Edo State, Prof Oserheimen Osunbor
