Premier League: What results to expect this weekend

It feels like eons ago that the last premier league match was played when in fact it is roughly 2-weeks since the international break.

With the premier league and all domestic league fixtures set to return, we look into what this weekend has in store for fans and neutrals alike.

The English league returns with an early kickoff fixture on Saturday 30th March to bring us Newcastle United12:30 West Ham United.

The tie sees two hungry sides take on each other at the Saint James’ Park for a right to claim all 3-points on offer. However, Topnaija will predict this game to end in a 1-1 tie between the Hammers and the Magpies.

Following the clash are a series of 3 O’clock kickoff fixtures with Bournemouth15:00 Everton settling scores.

We predict the tie to go the way of Everton in a 0-2 win for Sean Dyche’s side.

Chelsea 15:00 Burnley gives the Blues the perfect kicker following the return from the international break. We predict this premier league tie to go the way of Chelsea in a 3-1 win.

Nottingham Forest 15:00 Crystal Palace sees desperate times fall on Forest.

The Reds like they call themselves will be eager to get the points from here on end if they hope to avoid the relegation narratives. But Palace of course have other ideas. We predict a 2-1 win for Nottingham Forest either way.

Sheffield United 15:00 Fulham has a side very low on confidence taking on an attacking force that is Marco Silva’s Fulham at the Bramall Lane. We predict a 0-2 win for the Cottagers.

Tottenham Hotspur 15:00 Luton Town on paper has Spurs as favorites. However, this season has seen Luton Town give fans a bit of the  excitement whenever they face a formidable side.

Although little can be said in terms of the results coming their way, but Luton Town have had shouts of creating headlines in some of their previous games. Can they do it against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur side?

That remains to be seen. However, Topnaija will predict a 2-2 draw between both sides when they pair up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Aston Villa 17:30 Wolverhampton Wanderers in our premier league predictions, has Wolverhampton as surprise favorites for a shock result. We predict a 2-3 win for Gary O’Neil’s Wolves side.

Brentford 20:00 Manchester United have some bit of history since the reign of Man United boss, Erik ten Hag.

With Brentford at the cusp of a relegation battle, the Red Devils will be deluding themselves by expecting the favorites card to come into play for them.

Thomas Frank’s side will be hoping to get something from this tie to prove a point. We predict a 2-1 win for Brentford.

Sunday 31st March gives us what is the premier league title race for the season, with Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal all facing off later that afternoon.

Liverpool 14:00 Brighton and Hove Albion will hopefully set the standards for the evening.

We predict a 3-1 win for the Reds as they hope to bounce back from the 4-3 defeat to Manchester United 2-weeks prior in the FA Cup quarter final.

Manchester City 16:30 Arsenal will close the chapter for match week 30, with Pep Guardiola’s side hoping to gain a hold against the Gunners at the Etihad. We predict the premier league encounter to end in a 2-0 win for Manchester City.
