Premier League predictions for Matchday 4 Weekend

The international break is one period that bores many football club fans as it puts an abrupt halt to whatever rhythm the league campaign has, but good news, the premier league is back from its hiatus and so is our predictions for the weekend games.

Week 4 sets its course with Manchester United taking a tour to the Saint Mary’s to battle the Saints of Southampton at 12:30 kick off. After the 0-3 whooping by arch rivals, Liverpool 2-weekends ago, the Red Devils are ready for some red blood and at the moment, the Saints would be enough to wet their appetite. In our premier league predictions for this weekend, we see Manchester United singing the song of victory via a 1-3 win away.

Following the 12:30 pm kick off are the concurrent run of 3 pm fixtures on Saturday that will see Brighton and Hove Albion take on Ipswich Town. The Seagulls have amassed more points so far in the table aside clubs named Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. We expect them to continue on that form as they face the Tractor Boys at the Amex Stadium.

Premier League predictions for the Weekend

115 charges: La Liga chief drops bombshell on Manchester City

We predict a 2-1 win though, hopefully with Ipswich Town making things hard for Brighton,

Crystal Palace and Leicester City will have some moves to make against each other if they hope to get their season on track. However, in our premier league predictions, we see Leicester getting the drop on Crystal Palace to record their first 3-points upon their premier league return. A 0-2 result could be on the cards for Jamie Vardy and his boys.

Fulham versus West Ham United has a London vibe to it as the West and East of London lock horns for maximum points this weekend in the league.

Credit to the Hammers, they haven’t started the season that bad despite the result sheet saying otherwise, and for Fulham, they need to start scoring goals as much as they concede them. We see a 2-2 tie running its course here.

Liverpool versus Nottingham Forest, continues the 3 pm kickoff fixtures, and despite the narratives, the Reds will be foolish to believe the hype. They may be favorites at Anfield, but the Forest visitors have their own goals in mind. However, for the sake of status we have Liverpool in our premier league predictions as 2-0 likely victors on their turf. But it is not hard to imagine a shocker on return from the international break.

Manchester City versus Brentford wraps up the 3 pm kickoff with a cracker that between the Cityzens and the Bees. Pep Guardiola however will continue his premier league dominance with his team nabbing a 3-0 comfortable win at the Etihad.

Aston Villa versus Everton, however we believe could provide the upset this weekend. The Toffees are desperate for their first points and win of the new season, and Villa could be their victim. It is far stretch to call it a 0-2 win considering how a 2-0 lead turned out for Everton last 2 weeks. That said, we do not see a 0-2 lead eluding the Merseyside Blues this weekend.

West London Blues; Chelsea will wrap up the Saturday fixtures with a trip to the Vitality Stadium for vital points at 8 pm kickoff time to face AFC Bournemouth.

Bearing in mind what the cheeky Cherries did to a fellow Blue some weeks ago, Chelsea themselves would be careful to let a repeat occur. We predict a 2-4 win for the London Blues however.

Premier League fixtures for the 2024/25 season revealed

This leads us to a North London Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur hosts arch enemies, Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With the Gunners facing an eternal thorn in their flesh while being down by at least 2-3 key players, it will be interesting to see what this 2 pm kickoff brings neutrals.

Can Spurs and Ange Postecoglou get his first derby day win this weekend by taking advantage of Arsenal’s dwindling number? It remains to see. However, for the sake of our premier league predictions, we see the Gunners and Spurs battling a 2-2 draw at full time.

Wolverhampton Wanderers versus Newcastle United concludes the weekend. We believe a cracker is going to be fought on Wolves’ ground at the Molineux, and we see a 3-2 win in favor of Gary O’Neil’s side.
