Nigerian R&B singer and songwriter, Praise Adejo, simply known as Praiz, has launched his own record label, ‘Cicada Music’.

The 36-year-old award-winning musician took to his social media pages to break the news on Tuesday evening.

The entertainer, who became very popular after he finished second runner-up at the maiden season of ‘Project Fame West Africa,’ added that the music label is the beginning of a brand new movement focused on quality entertainment.

“Hey Guys! I’m glad to present to you my record company CICADA MUSIC. A beginning of a brand new movement focused on quality entertainment…” Praiz wrote.

In 2014, the Kogi-born music producer joined X3M Music alongside Simi, who now owns her own record label, ‘Studio Brat’.

The soul and R&B artiste has since then established himself as one of the prominent figures in the Nigerian music landscape with strings of awards and honorary mentions.

Praiz has also worked with several artists including Awilo Longomba, Cobhams, Wizkid, Seyi Shay, Bez and MI.

Praiz’s music career hit the limelight after he finished second runner-up at the maiden season of Project Fame West Africa.
