Portable’s letter of undertaking over unpaid G-wagon debt emerges online following arrest
After Portable, a Nigerian singer, was arrested, a letter of undertaking showing the terms and conditions he agreed to in order to buy a G-Wagon for N27 million showed up online.
TopNaija recalls that Portable jumped a gate when police tried to arrest him for not paying for a G-Wagon he bought.
He was arrested after failing to finish paying for the car, even though he had made a down payment, as the car salesman had asked.
Portable signed a letter of undertaking that was found online. It shows that he still owes N14 million for the N27 million G-Wagon. Voice recordings of the car dealer trying to get in touch with Portable were also posted online.
The dealer asked Portable to either pay the rest of the debt or return the car, but Portable refused, saying the car was faulty.
The agreement says that if Portable doesn’t follow through, the dealer can take back the car without giving Portable a refund.
