Popular Mixtape Site Spinrilla Set To Shut Down

Published

on

Popular mixtape site Spinrilla has reportedly disclosed that it will be shutting down next week.

This event happened after a federal judge in Georgia ordered the website to pay a total of $50 million to major music labels Universal Music, Warner Music, and Sony Music for copyright infringement.

The lawsuit against Spinrilla was related to the streaming of thousands of songs by high-profile artists such as Bob Marley, Beyonce, and Kendrick Lamar without proper licensing or permission.

The judge ruled that Spinrilla had willfully and repeatedly infringed on the labels’ copyrights and ordered the site to pay damages.

As a result of the ruling, Spinrilla has decided to shut down its operations entirely, marking the end of an era for the popular mixtape site.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the site’s users and fans, but for now, it appears that Spinrilla’s days are numbered.
