On Sunday 25th of March, 2018, RMD Productions Limited, in partnership with BookCraft Africa unveiled “Disowned,” a collection of short stories written by one of their talents, Nina Iphechukwude Anyianuka.

The event took place at the prestigious literary and arts haven Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, and had in attendance deeply intellectual celebrities and high brow business executives, select media personalities, and literary enthusiasts.

At the event hosted by Olive Emodi were Kate Henshaw, Ramsey Nouah, Ufuoma McDermott, Tope Oshin Deyemi Okanlawon, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Adesuwa Oyenokwe, Ireti Doyle, Shaffy Bello, Joke Silva, Mercy Makinde, Michelle Dede, Mimi Onalaja and many more.

Speaking at the event, Bola Atta (Group Corporate Communications and Marketing Director UBA Group) described the book as intense and eye-opening and the author as a brilliant writer.

The event was filled with outpouring of accolades, as one speaker after the other had nothing but praises for the author who has been described as extremely talented.

Actor and President, RMD Productions Limited, Richard Mofe-Damijo explained that no book has affected him the way “Disowned” did, saying the issues in the book are profoundly deep and troubling and should make everybody stand up and say no institutionalized silence when it comes to sexual violence against women and children.

The author, Nina Anyianuka, told the 9 year journey to “Disowned” and broke down as she recalled her experiences speaking to young girls who had been sexually violated. A Creative and Style Director, this debut author has her hand in a lot of pies and will soon be staring in a new TV Series.
