Penalty fiasco: “I will deal with them” — Pochettino
Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino may be known as a soft manager often always calm on the scene, but the penalty incident in the 6-0 humbling of Everton at Stamford Bridge got on his nerves.
Following its aftermath, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager has vowed to exert some actions behind the scenes to prevent such incidents from happening.
Chelsea duo, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson were seen on the pitch contesting a spot kick opportunity with the primary penalty taker; Cole Palmer who on the night netted 4-goals to help the Blues to a 6-0 triumph.
However, the positives of the night seem to have been overshadowed by what Pochettino considered a shameful behavior.
“It’s a shame, it’s a shame.” the Chelsea boss said to Sky Sports.
“We cannot behave in this way. I told them that this is the last time that [I will] accept this type of behaviour.” Pochettino added.
The Argentine goes on to address his disappointment with the scenario, saying;
“I made clear today to the fans and to everyone that Cole Palmer is the [penalty] taker. If Palmer wants to give the ball to another then he can, but not in this way.
“That is a really, really sad situation that happened, and I’m not going to accept that happening again.”
