Another prominent PDP member resigns after 25 years
Hon. Sylvester Ogbaga, who represented the Abakiliki/Iszi federal constituency of Ebonyi State from 1999 to 2023, has tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter dated April 24, 2024, addressed to the Chairman of PDP Anmegu Enyigba ward and copied to the LGA and state chairmen, Ogbaga cited the current political state of the party as the reason for his departure.
“After a careful evaluation and consideration of the current political state of the party, I have decided to take a leave,” Ogbaga stated in his resignation letter.
“I have been a member of the PDP since 1998 and have contributed my quota to the development of the party with huge sacrifices and support.”
Emphasizing that his decision is personal, Ogbaga expressed gratitude to the party leadership for their support and wished the PDP success in its future endeavours.
Topnaija revealed the departure of Emeka Ihedioha, the former governor of Imo State after 24 years of membership, citing a misalignment between his personal beliefs and the current trajectory of the main opposition party.
