Pardoned inmate commits another crime, sentenced to 15 years

19-year-old boy, Mubarak Yuguda, has been detained in Adamawa for the second time in less than two months.

He was among the (34) inmates pardoned by Adamawa CJ, Hon. Justice Nathan Musa in February 2022.

He was caught again invading a house in Ganye town at about 10am on March 27th, 2022 carting away foodstuff and buckets.

According to Upper Area Ganye Prosecutor and Inspector, Moses Detso, the offence of “theft in a dwelling house” contravenes section 279 of the penal code law.

Mubarak has pleaded guilty to the crime and has been sentenced to 15 years jail term with an alternative fine of N150, 000.
