A devastating bus crash in Australia has claimed the lives of at least ten people and left 11 others injured.

The tragic incident occurred when a coach bus carrying guests who were attending a wedding overturned at a roundabout on Wine Country Drive near the Hunter Expressway off-ramp in Greta.

The crash took place at approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday in Greta, which is located north of Sydney. The town is situated 25 miles away from Newcastle.

The 58-year-old bus driver was taken to the hospital under police supervision for mandatory testing and assessment, according to reports. Meanwhile, authorities revealed that 11 passengers were airlifted or transported by ambulance to the hospital, while 18 others miraculously escaped uninjured.

New South Wales Police released a statement confirming the tragic incident, stating, “Initial inquiries indicate 10 people have died. Eleven people were transported to the hospital via helicopter and road, and 18 passengers are uninjured.”

The cause of the accident remains unknown, and a crime scene has been established. Specialist forensic police and the Crash Investigation Unit will examine the scene to determine the factors contributing to the crash.

The bus crash has left the community in shock and mourning as authorities work to understand the circumstances leading to this devastating event.
