A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State remanded three suspected killers of a National Youth Service Corps member, Mukaila Adebayo, who was serving in the state.

The trio had appeared before Magistrate Modupe Awodele for allegedly killing Adebayo inside his shop on January 28 in the Omo West area of Osogbo. The deceased sold recharge cards and rendered Point of Sale services in the shop.

The accused, Jelili Kareem, 29; Oludayo Oludele, 34; and Awodeji Muyiwa, 36, were said to have committed the offence at about 10.15 pm on January 28.

The Prosecutor, Jacob Akintunde, told the court that the suspects stole recharge cards worth N300,000 and a cash sum of N2,500 from the corps member and later killed him.

He added that the fourth suspect, one Buliaminu Anifowose, received the stolen recharge cards worth N300,000 from the three men.

The plea of three men standing trial for was not taken.

However, the fourth accused, Anifowose, pleaded not guilty to the allegation bordering on receipt of stolen recharge cards.

The Defence counsel, K. Adepoju, applied for bail on behalf of the fourth accused.

The magistrate, Awodele, in remanded the first three accused and admitted the fourth suspect to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in the like sum.

She adjourned the matter till July 13, 2020.
