“Nothing like a good success story” — Davido to Ilebaye

Nigeria’s superstar music artiste, Davido reacted to the eventual victory of Kogi born reality star, Illebaye in the 2023 edition of the Big Brother Naija All Stars (BBNaija All Stars) reality series.

The celeb expressed his admiration for the remarkable grass-to-grace journey of Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, also known as Baye.

Baye, a 22-year-old model hailing from Kogi State, emerged victorious by defeating five other finalists to claim the coveted N120 million grand prize during the finale of the Big Brother Naija All-Stars edition on Sunday night.

Illebaye secured a commanding 30.8% of the total votes, surpassing her closest rival, Mercy Eke, who garnered 23.48%.

Baye’s triumph left many astonished, considering she was evicted after just three weeks during her initial appearance on the show’s “Level Up” edition in 2022, establishing herself as an underdog in the highly competitive All-Stars season.

Celebrating the achievement of the self-styled “Gen Z Baddie,” Davido took to his social media handle to share his sentiments, stating, “Ilebaye… I love a success story!”

In response, Ilebaye expressed her gratitude, commenting, “Thank you OBO.”

Notably, Davido had initially thrown his support behind Kiddwaya and Neo Energy as potential winners at the start of the show, but neither of them managed to make it to the finals.
