NiMet forecasts sunshine and thunderstorms across Nigeria from Monday to Wednesday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has released its weather outlook, indicating a blend of sunshine and thunderstorms across Nigeria from Monday to Wednesday.

In its forecast for Monday, NiMet predicts a sunny and hazy atmosphere over parts of Yobe and Borno states, with chances of thunderstorms in Kebbi.

The North is expected to experience sunny periods with isolated thunderstorms later in the day over states like Bauchi, Taraba, and Kaduna.

Meanwhile, the North Central region may see isolated thunderstorms over areas like Niger, Kwara, and Benue.

Moving to Tuesday, NiMet anticipates sunny skies in the North, with isolated thunderstorms likely in Taraba and Adamawa states.

Isolated thunderstorms are also expected in parts of the Federal Capital Territory and states like Nasarawa, Kogi, and Plateau.

In the South, a cloudy yet sunny atmosphere is forecasted, with isolated thunderstorms predicted in various states such as Imo, Abia, Ekiti, and Delta.

On Wednesday, NiMet foresees sunny conditions across the North, with isolated thunderstorms possible in Zamfara, Kebbi, and other states.

In the South, a cloudy yet sunny weather pattern is expected, with chances of thunderstorms in states like Enugu, Ebonyi, and Ogun during the afternoon or evening hours.

NiMet advises the public to take precautionary measures, especially in areas prone to thunderstorms, and airline operators to stay updated with weather reports for effective planning.
