Nigerians don’t lie unless we want to scam you – Burna Boy says

Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, has said Nigerians only tell lies if they are trying to scam someone.

The Odogwu crooner made the statement while appearing as a guest on The Daily Show with host Trevor Noah in New York, USA.
The host, Trevor spoke on how Nigerians are different from other countries in its continent as Nigerians who has huge accomplishments to their name hardly deem it fit to be humble while being complimented for their success.
According to Trevor, when a star, not a Nigerian is being complimented, they usually respond with humility, but the reverse is the case with Nigerians.

According to Burna Boy, the only circumstance within which Nigerians tell lies to people about their accomplishments is if the intention is to scam them.
Also, the South African media personality had applauded the Grammy-award winner for being the first African to sell out Madison Square Garden.
In response, Burna said that he does not understand why people make such a big deal about someone like him being the first to do something in another country.
