Nigerian Woman Falls Victim To POS Fraud, Loses Entire Money In Account (VIDEO)

A Nigerian lady living in Benin City, Edo State, has revealed her story of how a suspected fraudster impersonating a POS operator replaced her ATM card and managed to take all of her bank account cash.

The experience, which she told in a video, serves as a warning of the ubiquity of scams that prey on the naïve.

The lady met the scammer while trying to take money from an ATM that was not dispensing cash.

A young guy dressed as a POS operator approached her and offered to help.

She gave him her career with confidence, intending to collect the cash she meant to withdraw.

The impostor entered her card into his POS system but suddenly pretended to have a network problem and was unable to complete the transaction.

She recognized the scammer had replaced her card with a counterfeit one at that point.

Unfortunately, her suspicions were verified soon after when she got a debit notice suggesting that the thief had effectively depleted her bank account.

As the tale spreads online, it has created a buzz in the hopes that awareness will be increased, helping others to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to similar scam schemes.
