"Naija no dey carry last" -- Nicki Minaj says as she plans visit

Rapper Nicki Minaj has set the Nigerian fanbase buzzing with excitement after hinting at the possibility of extending her ongoing world tour to include Nigeria.

The announcement came following a conversation on social media, sparked by a Nigerian fan’s disappointment over the exclusion of Africa from the initial lineup of tour venues.

The fan, identified by the handle @RamatVictory, expressed dissatisfaction by sharing screenshots of tour venues across other continents, lamenting the absence of African locations. “Once again, African barbz bite dust. Oh well,” they wrote.

In a surprising turn of events, Nicki Minaj’s verified handle responded directly to the fan’s post, encouraging them to sign up in the section designated for additional city requests.

“Abeg, sign up where it says (if you don’t see your city) so that when I get to Africa, your city/country will be there,” Nicki Minaj replied.

Thrilled by the response, the fan promptly acknowledged Nicki’s comment, stating,

“Abeg no vex Nicki, I no go complain again. Oya Naija barbz, make una go sign up sharp, sharp.”

In a further nod to her Nigerian fanbase, Nicki Minaj added, “Naija no de carry last.”

This statement, a popular Nigerian phrase meaning Nigeria doesn’t fall behind, has left fans speculating about the potential inclusion of Nigerian tour dates in her upcoming schedule.
