Nollywood actor Prince Eke has weighed in on the ongoing controversy involving his ailing colleague, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, urging him to seek forgiveness from God concerning allegations of an inappropriate relationship with his purported adopted daughter, Jasmine Chioma Okafor.

The saga unfolded earlier this week when a viral audio recording, allegedly featuring Mr Ibu, sparked discussions across social media platforms. The voice in the recording, believed to be the actor, admitted to a prior relationship with Jasmine before she became involved with his older son from a previous marriage.

In the recording, Mr Ibu appeared to express dismay at his son’s affair with the girl he previously had relations with, drawing attention to the complexity of the situation.

This controversy is not new, as earlier this year, Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris, questioned Jasmine’s true relationship with her husband, implying that Jasmine was not his biological daughter but rather his girlfriend. Mr Ibu and his older sons refuted these claims.

Addressing allegations of misusing health-related donations, Stella Maris alleged that Jasmine and one of Mr Ibu’s older sons intended to abscond with the donated funds, revealing their purported marriage.

Taking to Instagram, Prince Eke criticized Mr Ibu for the alleged inappropriate relationship, emphasizing the ethical misconduct of introducing someone involved in a romantic relationship as an adopted daughter.

Prince Eke expressed his concern, stating, “If the said adopted daughter was/is actually a side chick that you were having sex with and you had the mind to introduce her to the world and to your family as a daughter, bros you were committing incest and you need to ask God for forgiveness Asap.”

He highlighted the spiritual ramifications of such actions, suggesting that while adoption into a family is commendable, introducing a romantic partner as an adopted child is ethically incorrect and might have deeper spiritual implications.
