Manchester United to swap McTominay for Bayern star

Manchester United have been hanging in on a transfer move for new midfielders  despite seeing the signing of only Mason Mount from Chelsea. However if current report is to be believed, the Red Devils could be in for a swap deal that involves Scott McTominay moving over to Bayern Munich.

This move could reportedly see Manchester United nab a long interest in Ryan Gravenberch from the Bavarian side.

The report comes courtesy of German publication, Bild, as Bayern Munich are reportedly set to take advantage of McTominay’s lack of game time under Erik ten Hag.

The Scotland international only made ten starts and 24 premier league appearances last season for the Red Devils side, while Ryan Gravenberch also struggled for game time at the Bundesliga club despite making a high profile move last summer.

The Dutchman like McTominay only made 24 appearances, but 3 starts for Bayern Munich.

According to a source close to the information;

“Bayern is interested in Scott McTominay. Also, a swap loan deal with Ryan Gravenberch is discussed.”

Scott McTominay has only 2 years left in his Manchester United contract and despite being named in the squad for the first 3 games of the new season, the Scot has only made a 7 minute cameo appearance so far.

He was earlier linked with a move to West Ham alongside Harry Maguire, but the move reportedly came crashing.

Gravenberch on th other hand has been linked also with Liverpool, with the Merseyside club interested in getting the move done if Bayern Munich were to communicate interest in having the Dutchman moved on.

Ryan Gravenberch has not featured so far for the Bundesliga giant despite being on the bench for the 3-1 win over Augsburg.
