Manchester United to Lose Biggest Sponsorship Deal Next Season

English Premier League club, Manchester United is set to lose one of its sponsors, TeamViewer who recently took over shirt sponsorship from Chevrolet last season at the end of the current campaign.

The Old Trafford club has seen a host of shirt sponsorships over the years compared to top premier league rival clubs as they have been able to secure deals with AIG during the days of Sir Alex Ferguson, and not too long ago had automobile company, Chevrolet sponsoring the club’s match day shirts.

However, this time, the £235 million shirt deal between Manchester United and TeamViewer is set to be terminated early.

A new shirt sponsor is now being sought by the Premier League team.

Investors have criticized the German technology business for their massive five-year contract with the Red Devils.

After months of negotiations, Manchester United and TeamViewer have decided to end their agreement as soon as a replacement jersey sponsor is identified.

But until the conclusion of their contract in 2026, they will still be a “global partner.”

“After a period of collaborative, private discussions over the past months, Manchester United and TeamViewer AG have reached a mutually beneficial agreement under which Manchester United shall have the option to buy back the rights to the club’s shirt front sponsorship,” a United statement read in part.

The TeamViewer agreement, which was signed during the COVID-19 epidemic, was United’s second-largest business partnership, although it was eclipsed by their £750 million kit deal with Adidas.
