Man Who Stormed Police Station Threatening With Open Fire Captured

A man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and making threats to kill at a public helpdesk.

 

 

The incident caused members of the public and staff to flee in terror, but thankfully there were no injuries reported.

 

According to the police, the man discharged a gas-powered ball bearing gun during the incident.

 

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell has praised the quick response of armed officers who were able to resolve the incident quickly and safely.

 

The police are now appealing for anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward. They have also reassured the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to public safety.
