Man United players forced to do Press ups after conceding a goal in Training
Are the glory days returning? Many Man United fans would wonder after watching a clip of new coach, Erik ten Hag making his players do press ups each time they concede a goal.
This happened in training while the team were out preparing for their pre-season games in Bangkok.
The Dutch coach crafted a session of attack vs defense in front of a 10,000 spectator whereby for every goal conceded, the players are made to do press ups.
The footage came after the BBC media team were granted access to the team’s training ground to give a glimpse of how disciplined Erik ten Hag wants his team to be.
There was no much resistance from the players as they did it much to the cheering of supporters who saw a dedication to the Dutchman’s cause.
The viral clip sent Man United fans given a glimpse of hope at a disciplined culture returning back to the club since the Sir Alex Ferguson days.
One social media user wrote in response to the clip:
“This is next level compared to Ole and Ralf.”
With another writing:
“I absolutely love this.”
As the team is set to face its bitter rivals, Liverpool, it stands to be seen if those push ups and press ups will factor into any of the results gotten from today’s pre-season game.
The game is set to take place at 2 p.m. today, though a notable absent will be former Juventus man and 5 time golden ball winner, Cristiano Ronaldo who wants out of the club.
