Man apprehended after he allegedly defiled his 7-year-old daughter in Edo

A father has been caught and arrested by the authorities in Edo for allegedly having his way into his minor daughter of 7 years.

TopNaija understands that the suspect and shameful father, identified as Mr. Felix Iloghevbo, committed the act on his daughter on September 19, 2023, in Idokpa community, Uhunwonde Local Government of the state.

Confirming the allegation, the spokesman of the Command, Chidi Nwabuzor revealed that the operatives of the Egba Division Police station arrested the suspect while acting on credible information.

According to the PPRO, the suspect made a statement and confessed as the young child was taken to Vivian Medical Center for a medical examination.

TopNaija also gathered that one Godwin Osaghale was also arrested for forcing his way with a 20-year-old girl in the same state.

The suspect was arrested at Uromi, Edo state, following a complaint from the victim’s father, Ehiavwin Great.

The father of the victim alleged that Godwin entered his apartment while he was not around, met his ill daughter on a chair and forcefully had sex with her.

He said that the victim was transferred to the hospital for medical assessment, and that the culprit was apprehended.

Nwabuzor said that the investigation is underway and that the culprits will be prosecuted in court shortly.
