Liverpool and Real Madrid set to battle it out again
Jude Bellingham

It seems another rival has built up in Europe, and this time between Liverpool and Real Madrid as both teams have come to logger heads multiple times in the turn of the century with the Reds having little chance at a victory.

The rivalry is even about to go deeper, this time into the transfer market as both clubs are said to be going into battle for Borussia Dortmund star, Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham has been an interesting prospect for the Bundesliga club, with the 18 year old having signed for the BVB in 2020 for £22m and raked in 90 appearances.

The England’s international’s impact in the club has brought about interests from many clubs, with the consistent name being Liverpool, but according to reports, Real Madrid have now joined in the list of such names.

Jude Bellingham has been directly involved in 10+ league goals in a single campaign for the first time in his career, scoring 3 goals while providing 7 assists in a 25 game appearance.

Although it is widely reported that Liverpool won’t prioritize signing a midfielder this season after already entering the market with a £100 million in signing Darwin Nunez, Real Madrid making a move this summer could provoke the Reds into doing same.

A situation like this already happened in the January transfer window where the Anfield club were provoked into making a move the minute Premier League rivals, Tottenham Hotspur swung in to sign Porto’s Luis Diaz.

Real Madrid has already stolen a key target from Liverpool in Aurelien Tchouameni, but the 14-time Champions League winners could come again to flex muscles and put €90m on the table for the former Birmingham City youngster.

It all depends on Borussia Dortmund though, if the club are willing to part ways with 2 key players in the same window without having a replacement for the coming season.

It remains to be seen how the current transfer window will end.
