Abducted Dapchi schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu has allegedly given birth to a son fathered by a top Boko Haram commander.

According to Sahara Reporters, Leah, the Christian girl who was kidnapped along with other schoolgirls but was not released with the others because she refused to renounce Christianity, allegedly gave birth to a baby boy weeks ago.

She was reportedly forced by the terror group to convert to Islam before being married off to a top Boko Haram commander, the publication claims. The forced marriage has now allegedly produced a son.

In the light of this, Nathan Sharibu, father of abducted Dapchi schoolgirl Leah Sharibu has reacted to report of his daughter giving birth to a baby boy for a Boko Haram top commander.

Speaking in a phone conversation with Channels Television’s correspondent on Sunday January 26, Mr Nathan said he won’t be commenting on the update about his daughter who has been in captivity after being kidnapped alongside 111 students of Girls Science Secondary School in Dapchi, Yobe State on February 19, 2018.

Leah’s father who insisted that he won’t be giving credence to rumours about his daughter, said he is only concerned with seeing his daughter return alive to his family.
