NAFDAC raises alarm over EU recall of Caro White skin lightening lotion

The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a warning following the European Union (EU) Rapid Alert System for Dangerous Non-Food Products (RAPEX) recall of Caro White Skin Lightening Beauty Lotion.

The product was recalled due to its high concentration of Kojic Acid, exceeding the allowable limit of one per cent as per the Cosmetic Products Regulation. Read more here.

NLC, TUC reaffirm ultimatum to FG over minimum wage, power tariff

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have reiterated their ultimatum to the federal government to meet all of their demands, including the adoption of a new national minimum wage and the reversal of the power tariff increase.

The ultimatum was issued following an emergency meeting of the National Executive Councils (NEC) of the NLC and TUC to address serious national issues impacting Nigerian workers. Read more here.

Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo land, has warned Nigeria’s federal government against the development of state police.

Liverpool officially unveil new Manager, Arne Slot

The open secret has officially been confirmed as Liverpool Football Club have announced their new boss, Arne Slot ahead of the new season.

The announcement follows the exit of Jurgen Klopp after the culmination of the 2023/24 campaign that ended for Liverpool on Sunday with a 2-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
