Investigations by the LASG revealed that the lion belongs to an Indian national who brought it in from Cameroun two years ago.

The Lion has been transferred to a zoo in Omu Resort, Lekki following the intervention of the chairman of the agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and medical personnel from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan.
