Lagos Red Line Rail commences operation late 2022

The Lagos State Government has announced the closure of the Yaba Overpass temporarily for two weeks, starting from February 9 till February 23.

The Commissioner of Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde signed a statement on Tuesday.

It stated that the lane closure was essential to start soil testing along Muritala Mohammed Way, Ojuelegba Road (Tejuosho).

It is part of the traffic management plan to accomplish the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red line phase 1, Oyingbo to Agbado.

Motorists were advised to use the main carriageway during the short-term closure.

The Commissioner guaranteed that traffic management personnel would be available to direct traffic in order to reduce inconveniences.

The ministry urged motorists that ply the corridors to keep calm and cooperate with the interventions put in place to bring permanent solutions to transportation problems in the state.
