The Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has chosen Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running partner.

The LP Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure stated on Thursday that the Labour Party will reveal Baba-Ahmed as its vice-presidential candidate on Friday, according to The Nation.

He said that the revelation was originally scheduled for July 7 at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, but it was moved to July 8.

It was because Obi, who was supposed to return to Abuja from Maiduguri on Thursday afternoon, was delayed owing to flight cancellation, he said.

This is coming after the Director-General, Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, on Thursday, announced his withdrawal as the vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
