Kaduna Elections Petition Tribunal to deliver Verdict via Zoom
The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kaduna State is poised to deliver its highly anticipated verdict via Zoom.
The tribunal is currently adjudicating a petition lodged by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Isah Mohammed Ashiru, contesting the election victory of Uba Sani from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
As the clock approached 9:50 am, the courtroom was meticulously prepared for this historic occasion.
The stage was set with a sophisticated arrangement to facilitate the seamless transmission of the verdict proceedings via the Zoom platform. Prominently displayed on a large screen in the courtroom was the tag “EPT KADUNA 3,” signifying the third session of the Kaduna Election Petition Tribunal.
Security at the premises of the Kaduna State High Court in Kawo, where the tribunal is convening, was notably tight. The heightened security measures underscored the significance of this pivotal moment in the state’s political landscape.
The move to employ Zoom for delivering the judgement is seen as a progressive step, allowing for greater accessibility and transparency in the legal process. This decision also reflects the growing reliance on technology to ensure the continuation of essential services in an ever-changing world.
