Bandits attack kill five in Kaduna's Ewehko community

In a tragic incident on Monday, suspected bandits launched a deadly attack on Ewehko community, Maro Ward in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the death of five villagers.

The bandits attack occurred during a village meeting, with victims’ motorcycles set ablaze during the onslaught at approximately 2:14 pm.

Luka Bulus, a local source, confirmed the incident, stating, “The bodies of four men and one woman have been recovered from the scene, with ongoing search efforts in surrounding bushes for any missing persons.”

Reuben Maro, another resident, lamented the destruction caused by the bandits, noting that houses were set on fire along with the motorcycles of those killed. He estimated the death toll at six individuals.

At the time of reporting, neither the Kaduna State government nor the Kaduna Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, had issued an official statement regarding the attack.
