Injury Crisis hits Manchester United again: 2-more out

It is starting to look like a nightmare at this stage for Manchester United as the injury curse resurfaces again to bite the Red Devils.

Manchester United’s preseason preparations took a worrying turn as two more players picked up injuries in a 3-2 win over Real Betis at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

The victory, secured by goals from Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo, and Casemiro, was overshadowed by the latest additions to the Red Devils’ injury list.

Already reeling from the news that summer signing Leny Yoro is sidelined for three months with a foot injury and striker Rasmus Hojlund is out for six weeks with a hamstring issue, United faced further setbacks during the match.

Rashford, who opened the scoring, was forced off around the hour mark with an apparent ankle injury, while Antony had to leave the pitch late in the game, heading straight down the tunnel.

Amad Diallo, reflecting on the team’s performance, told MUTV:

“I feel very good… We are happy for the win. For me, it is important to fight for the team and to help the team.”

As United gear up for a high-profile friendly against Liverpool in Columbia, South Carolina, and the FA Community Shield clash against Manchester City at Wembley on August 10, manager Erik ten Hag faces a mounting injury crisis. The fitness of key players will be a major concern as the new season approaches.
