I Had To Reject a €350m For Manchester United—Cristiano Ronaldo
Throughout the summer transfer window, Cristiano Ronaldo saw himself become the subject of many speculations regarding his future at Manchester United, to the extent quite a lot of media narratives were on clubs not wanting to sign the player.
According to the former Real Madrid star though, the narrative was quite lost as he reveals on Piers Morgan uncensored that he turned down a very profitable offer from Saudi Arabia to stay put at Manchester United.
The Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged that he turned down a €350 million offer to depart in the summer, a time rumors speculated there were no offers coming in for the star.
For some months now, reports have been rife about Ronaldo frantically trying to leave Old Trafford since the summer.
Numerous teams, including Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain, were connected to the 37-year-old.
The unknown Saudi Arabian team made a startling offer to the Portugal captain, which would have made Ronaldo the highest-paid player in history.
Now that he has given his justification, he can decline their approach.
“It’s true, yes it’s true,” Ronaldo told Piers Morgan Uncensored about the €350m offer to play in Saudi Arabia for two seasons.
“But what the press kept saying, the garbage, is that nobody wants me, which is completely wrong.
“And I was happy here to be honest, I was motivated to do a great season here. But they continue to repeat that nobody wants Cristiano.
“How they don’t want a player who scored 32 goals last year, with national team?”
