Guber election: God forbid – Aisha Yesufu disagrees with Peter Obi over governorship candidate

Aisha Yesufu, a supporter of the Labour Party and a diehard supporter of Peter Obi, has publicly disagreed with the Obidients movement over who becomes the next Governor of Enugu State.
In a tweet, Peter Obi had called on the Obidients to come out en masse to cast their votes for their candidates in various states across the nation during their March 11 governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections.
However, Yesufu believes that Frank Nweke Jnr of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, is the most qualified candidate to lead Enugu State.
She tweeted, “God forbid I become what I want to change. I can never sacrifice competence for partisanship! Frank Nweke Jnr @FrankNwekeII is the person for Enugu State. The people must be the winners and not individuals.”
Yesufu’s public disagreement with the Obidients movement has caused a stir among political pundits in the country. Many have commended her for standing up for what she believes in, while others have criticized her for going against the wishes of her political party.
