Graham Potter Has No Idea His Best Line up – Ray Parlour

As if the criticisms were not high up on Chelsea manager’s list, Graham Potter has been faced with one from Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour.
The Former Arsenal player, Ray Parlour disclosed what he believes is Chelsea head coach Graham Potter’s biggest issue this season, stating that he is yet to discover his best team at the club.
Speaking to AceOdds, Parlour expressed sympathy for Potter, who replaced Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, stating that Chelsea’s culture of expecting instant success may work against him.
Parlour stated that although Chelsea have said they are committed to Potter for the long term, it may not be feasible given the club’s expectations. He added that Potter has been hampered by the numerous players Chelsea has signed, saying he needs time to determine the right formation to use.
Parlour opined that the lack of a settled team is a significant issue for the English Premier League club. “I don’t think he knows his best team yet, that is the big problem,” he said.
Potter took over at Chelsea in November 2022, following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel. The 46-year-old had previously been in charge of Brighton & Hove Albion since 2019.
In his first few months in charge at Stamford Bridge, Potter has faced several challenges, including dealing with injuries to key players and managing the club’s expectations for immediate success.
Chelsea’s recent form together with Liverpool’s has been one of gradual decline, with both sides far off what was usually expected of them in terms of performance and position in the league table.
