#FlashbackFriday: Watch Fela Kuti share his Thoughts on Education

Afrobeat legend and activist Fela Kuti in this throwback interview with Mani Onumonu spoke about what education should be.

Fela, speaking to Muni, said he believes in what he terms Natural Education. He said every individual is born for a reason and using his son Femi Kuti, Fela said he’s doing well with the music he taught himself after dropping out of school.

He said he gave Femi the right discipline. Discipline is knowing what is good and what is bad, Fela said, adding that people should know the history of their people and know why they are where they are, and know it well.
