Afrobeats star Fireboy DML is set to enchant global listeners with his new album, “Adedamola,” which will be released on Spotify on August 29.

Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, announced this on Wednesday, expressing excitement about the upcoming release.

“With a vast and loyal global audience, Fireboy DML’s music resonates powerfully with Spotify listeners, especially those aged 23 to 34,” Okumu noted.

“‘Adedamola’ promises to be a musical journey, showcasing Fireboy DML’s artistry through infectious melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and captivating rhythms. This album is expected to cement his status as a global superstar and grow his fanbase even further,” she added.

Fireboy DML’s previous album, “Playboy,” has been a huge success on Spotify, amassing over 700 million streams and featuring on more than 3.1 million playlists worldwide in the past year. His most-streamed tracks over the last 28 days include “Dealer,” “Peru,” “Bandana,” “Everyday,” and “Yawa.”
