Find a Home where they want you — Ex-City coach to Maguire
Stripped off his captaincy, mocked by his critics, trolled online by fans, Harry Maguire has seen it all in his daunting journey at Old Trafford.
But former Manchester City manager, Stuart Pearce believe it is time for Harry Maguire to look at the option than keep facing the repeated music of fans.
According to Pearce, Harry Maguire should consider an exit from Manchester United and link up with one of the club’s premier league rival.
Pearce believes Maguire is a no brainer for any team, with West Ham United a perfect destination for the England defender.
It is an open secret that Harry Maguire is no longer wanted by Manchester United, with Stuart Pearce pointing out the fact on talkSport.
The former Leicester City man is down the pecking order for Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United team, and has drawn attention from West Ham United and Aston Villa.
West Ham United had shown interest by tabling a bid of €20million for the defender, of which United were quick to reject, valuing Harry Maguire at €50 million.
Speaking with talkSPORT about Maguire’s situation at Man United, Pearce said:
“For me, he [Maguire] is an absolute no-brainer for any team. West Ham, 100 percent. You go where you are wanted.
“You go where you are loved and if that is West Ham or wherever… he’d be a very great addition.”
Ahead of the premier league season, Erik ten Hag had stripped the former captain off his armband at the club, a title the former Hull City player was given by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer when he joined the Red Devils in 2019.
