FG Bans ‘Ghana Must Go’ Bags At Lagos Airport, Others
The usage of ‘Ghana Must Go’ travel bags by travelers at all of Nigerian’s airports has been prohibited.
In a circular announced by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) titled ‘Re: Prohibition of Usage of Ghana Must Go’, it was signed by Manager, Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, and dated November 24, 2023.
According to FAAN, the travel bag prohibition applies only to travelers traveling via the country’s international airports.
According to the agency, the bag was prohibited by the government because it caused substantial costs to the airlines and harmed the airport’s conveyor belt infrastructure.
It was said that travelers who desire to travel with Ghana Must Go must have the same well-packaged in carton or book of rectangular dimension.
It was discovered that the usage of the sack-like bag has been linked to the collapse of many of the country’s airport conveyor belt systems, putting tremendous expenditures on the airport authority’s shoulders.
Because of its small weight and ability to carry larger items, the renowned Ghana Must Go bag, which comes in several sizes, is immensely popular among many Nigerian travelers.
