Federal court orders removal of Emir Sanusi II from palace, protects Emir Aminu Ado Bayero
In a dramatic legal development, the Federal High Court in Kano has issued an order mandating the removal of the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, from the Emir Palace in Kano, directly countering an earlier ruling by the Kano State High Court.
The Federal High Court’s decision contradicts the Kano State High Court’s ruling, which had restrained the police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian military from evicting the reinstated emir.
