Fayemi tests negative for coronavirus

Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti State Governor, has tested negative for COVID-19 as announced this via his Twitter handle on Saturday, TopNaija.ng report.

 

Fayemi had on July 22 announced that he tested positive for the virus. He tweeted, “After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my CoviD 19 repeat test came back negative.

“My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team, and all well-wishers for the prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic.”

John Olukayode Fayemi, is a Nigerian politician who is currently serving as the Governor of Ekiti State, in office since 16 October 2018. He previously served in office between 2010 and 2014 before losing re-election to Ayodele Fayose.
