Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, and a spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has expressed his confidence that the APC will win the February 25 presidential election.

In a recent appearance at the News Agency of Nigeria Forum in Abuja, Keyamo said, “Without trying to sound overconfident, I can tell you that the election is ours to lose.”

He explained that the APC has the upper hand due to demographic and voting patterns in the country, and is the only party without a concentration of support from one region. According to him, “Demographically, we are extremely strong, we are the most diverse with wide spread all over the country, the APC is the only party without concentration of support from one part of the country.”

He also commented on the split in the opposition parties facing the APC, stating that it was an indication of weakness, and even when they were united as the PDP three and a half years ago, the APC defeated them with four million votes. Keyamo noted that the opposition parties have a four million votes deficit to close up, and their current split makes it even more difficult to defeat the ruling party.

Keyamo‘s words reveal the APC’s confidence in winning the upcoming presidential election. With Nigeria’s diverse demographic and voting patterns, and the split in the opposition parties, the APC believes it has the edge. As Nigerians prepare to head to the polls, Keyamo’s comments serve as a reminder of the importance of each individual’s vote in determining the outcome of the election.
