Diamond Platnumz makes patriotic move for Tanzania

Bongo Flava recording artist and dancer, Diamond Platnumz has canceled his performance at the Wasafi Festival in a very patriotic move.

This follows a request from Tanzania’s minister of Information, Sports, Arts and Culture Dr Harrison Mwakyembe.

The Wasafi Festival which had been scheduled for September 21st in Iringa had clashed with the Jumuiya ya Afrika Mashariki Utamaduni Festival (JAMAFEST) event.

Dr Mwakyembe had asked Diamond to display patriotism by cancelling the performance.

The Tanzanian star in a post on Instagram, Thursday, cited that he cancelled the performance at Wasafi Festival for the love of his country.

He also confirmed that he will attend the JAMAFEST event.
