Delta man kills another to settle scores with victim’s wife

A Delta state man called Oyakemeagbegha has allegedly killed one Ebitein Aperebo in an attempt to settles scores with the victim’s wife.

The incident happened in Aperebo, Ojobo community, in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Sources said the incident happened on Saturday after the suspect quarrelled with the victim’s wife, The Punch reports.

Oyakemeagbegha had reportedly gone to meet the woman’s husband after the disagreement, in order to further vent his anger.

The victim was said to be sleeping when Oyakemeagbegha stormed the residence, woke him from sleep “and hit him to death with a 2 by 2 wood”.

Oyakemeagbegha was said to have then fled the scene after committing the crime.

According to The Punch, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, could not yet be reached for comments.
