Davido confirms what Nigerians suspected all along

Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has confirmed his marriage to his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland. Davido disclosed this in an interview with media personality, Kiekie, on Wednesday.

The singer, who had taken a break from social media after the loss of his son, Ifeanyi, said he needed time to rest, reflect and spend quality time with family. He also revealed that during his break, he had re-made an album that was already completed before his hiatus, and that he had traveled and gotten married.

“I have never ever taken this kind of break. Just being away and I have had a lot to think about. It was a time to rest, reflect, a lot of family time, time to make music again,” Davido said during the interview.

He further stated that he was glad to be back in the studio and making music once again. The confirmation of his marriage to Chioma, with whom he has a son, comes after months of speculation and rumors.

Davido’s relationship with Chioma became public knowledge after he dedicated his hit song, “Assurance,” to her in 2018. The couple welcomed their son, Ifeanyi, in October 2019.
