Well known celebrity critics Daniel Regha has caused reactions after he called out Davido’s father over his N1 billion donation to a church.

TopNaija had earlier reported how Adedeji Adeleke made headlines recently after he announced that he would be donating 1 billion naira to a church he visited on Sunday.

In reaction to the news, media personality Daniel Regha noted that even though going to church is fine, giving out one billion naira in a country where there is starvation and millions are struggling to survive is not a right step to take.

According to him, there is a better use of the money, like creating employment opportunities.

His words: “Giving to the church is fine, but donating over a billion to any church, in a country where millions are starving & struggling to survive doesn’t seem right. Davido’s dad should’ve used about 80% of that money to create employment opportunities.”

Some reactions that followed

Watchman wrote: “For a man to give to the church, you have no idea what he has gain from fellowship if there.”

HSPR stated: “It’s all for show off ..”

Edvin noted: “Poor people always have good opinions on everything.”

Luklex said: “You’re right. A billion naira is a lot to be given to a church. Misplaces priorities.”

Pogba jr stated: “Poor man telling a rich man what to do, the irony!”
