Custody Battle: Sophia constantly brings up my son’s death to remind us of the tragedy – Davido

Davido has accused his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, of constantly bringing up the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, to remind them of the tragedy.

The singer said this in response to Sophia’s claim that she cannot give Davido custody of their child, Imade Adeleke, due to the circumstances surrounding the death of Davido and Chioma’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Topnaija had reported that Sophia, in a 100-paragraph counter-affidavit in response to Davido’s suit, stated that their daughter is too young to stay with Davido.

According to her, this is because of the circumstances surrounding Ifeanyi’s death and that he travels a lot and is already married to another woman.

Her response partly reads, “The Applicant is an artist who always travels around the world as mandated by his career and cannot possibly be with our daughter at crucial times. The Applicant is married to another woman, and they live together. The proper upbringing of our daughter by another cannot be guaranteed. The fact that the Applicant lost his son in his house in rather unfortunate and questionable circumstances shows that our daughter cannot be placed in the custody of the Applicant.”

In response to her claim in a post on his X account on Friday, Davido noted that Sophia can have Imade for now, adding that she would definitely grow up to know that he fought for her.

He said, “Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her. As for now u can have her. P.S she won’t be a child forever. Enjoy Imade Aurora Adeleke! Your father loves you!”

In another tweet, Davido also wrote, “All I asked for was ‘joint custody’ but cus it’s davido yall wanna act like yall can’t read! SMH I’m off this. yall be blessed and I pray this never happens to you.”
