Chelsea turn their eyes on another Nigerian 'gold-mine'

If the Nigerian national team has a wealth of anything, it is its gold-mine of an attack, and Premier League club Chelsea is set to tap into that well as they eye another ‘Victor’.

Chelsea have turned their attention to Bayer Leverkusen’s prolific striker Victor Boniface, following their failed pursuit of Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer.

According to reports, the West London giants have dispatched scouts to monitor the 23-year-old Nigerian talent, who has been in fine form for the Bundesliga side this season.

With Enzo Maresca keen to bolster Chelsea’s attacking options, Boniface—who boasts four goals and one assist in just six appearances—has emerged as a potential January transfer target. The powerful forward is contracted to Leverkusen until 2028 and currently holds a Transfermarkt valuation of €40 million.

Could Boniface be the solution to Chelsea’s striking woes? Only time will tell, but the Blues seem eager to make their move!
