Chelsea plotting exit of 2-senior stars

West-London side, Chelsea are reported to be eyeing the exit of 2 of its senior stars at the end of the season this summer following a disappointing season.

In a recent development concerning Chelsea Football Club, it has been disclosed that the Premier League giants are contemplating the departure of two prominent players come the conclusion of the ongoing season.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey for HITC Sport, the West London outfit is evaluating the future paths of Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling.

Thiago Silva, whose contract with Chelsea is set to expire at the season’s end, is not anticipated to receive an extension by Mauricio Pochettino’s management.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling, a significant acquisition during Todd Boehly’s tenure, has faced challenges in meeting expectations since joining Chelsea.

Despite maintaining a pivotal role within the squad this season, Sterling’s future at the club hangs in the balance, with suggestions indicating a potential departure during the upcoming summer transfer window.

In a related report, it is believed the Blues’ Centre Back will be facing a short spell on the sideline after picking an injury recently against Crystal Palace.

The Brazilian is now a doubt for some of Mauricio Pochettino side’s games as the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool comes calling in some days time.
