Champions League: Atalanta vs. Arsenal: Confirmed Lineup

North London side Arsenal take a detour to Italy to battle Europa League Champions Atalanta at their home turf of the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

It is an opportunity for Mikel Arteta’s side to continue their European quest for hopefully their first taste of Champions League glory in 138-years history. The Gunners’ last venture to a final was the 2006 affair where Arsene Wenger sadly lost out to Barcelona at the dying minutes thanks to goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Belletti, two players who would remain villains in the eyes of the Arsenal faithful.

However, a chance at regaining lost glory presents itself for Arsenal as they journey to Atalanta in hopes of kickstarting their Champions League league-campaign en route to the knockout stages.

Their Italian hosts though, will have similar sentiments—sentiment that will be boosted by the knowledge of having beaten fellow premier league side, Liverpool a season prior while in England.

Of course, Arsenal are of a different breed compared to the Reds, but confidence is confidence and the knowledge they could do it on a cold day at Anfield gives Atalanta more incentive to put on a show against the North London marauders.

But will they succeed or will the Gunners raid Bergamo and come out with all 3-points? That depends on whichever team the both sides name in the lineup.

Here goes the Confirmed Lineup for both sides;
